BOXSCORE ENGLEWOOD, Fla.-- Fredonia women's lacrosse completed its Florida swing Thursday night with a heartbreaking 11-10 loss to Salem State.
Salem State scored the go-ahead goal with just over one minute remaining. The Blue Devils (2-5) won the ensuing draw and appeared to score the tying goal with 35 seconds remaining --

According to the rules, Coon was required to drop her stick -- which she did -- so officials could determine if the webbing was legal. But because two teammates also dropped their sticks to celebrate, the officials could not determine which stick was Coon's and the goal was disallowed.

The Blue Devils are back in action Wednesday when they take on D'Youville in a non-conference match starting at 5 p.m. at University Stadium.
