CORTLAND, N.Y. -- Five athletes recorded top finishes when the Fredonia men's swimming and diving team competed at Cortland on Saturday. The Devils dropped the team score, 151-131.

Patrick McCormick was the top diver off both boards. He scored 252.20 off the 1-meter board, and 241.20 off the 3-meter board.

Other firsts were:
- Jacob Favret -- 100 breast stroke in 1:00.71
- Robert Atwood -- 50 freestyle in :22.81
- Brad Zifra -- 100 butterfly in :57.65
- Drew Page -- 400 IM in 4:38.90

The men's 200 free relay team also turned a winning time of 1:29.45. Atwood, Favret, Page, and Cameron Criss made up the quartet.

"Today was a good tuneup for us," said assistant coach Ben Chatley, "before SUNYACs in 10 days. It gave everyone a chance to size up some of the tougher competition we will see and improve their swims and dives before the last push of the season."

It was the final regular-season meet for the Devils. They will compete in the conference championship meet beginning Feb. 20 in Buffalo.
