FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia clinched a SUNYAC playoff berth with a 4-3 home win Friday over Potsdam.
Sophomore forward
Victor Tracy (Danderyd, Sweden) scored the game-winner with 2:41 remaining as the Blue Devils moved to 6-5-2 in the SUNYAC and guaranteed themselves one of the three remaining playoff berths. The loss eliminated Potsdam (7-14-1 overall, 3-9-1 SUNYAC).

Tracy's goal, his ninth of the season and his second game-winner, came on a pass by junior
Jacob Haynes (Whitby, Ont.) from behind the crease after freshman
Ethan Kirbis (Clarence, N.Y. ) brought the puck along the boards. It was the second assist of the game for Kirbis, who earned the No. 3 star.
Tracy was selected as the No. 1 star and the Fredonia Booster Club Player of the Game. Potsdam's Mike Sweeney, with two goals, was the No. 2 star.
The Blue Devils broke on top 3-0 on first-period goals by senior
Jimmy Morgan (Highlands Ranch, Col.) and junior
Max Blitz (Chino Hills, Calif.) and a goal at the start of the second period by senior
Todd Schauss (Terryville, Conn.).Â
Potsdam pulled even with three unanswered goals in the second period, the last two in a 22-second span. Sweeney made it 3-1 at the 2:43 mark. The Bears had a two-man advantage when Bryce Ferrell scored to make it 3-2 at 19:31, and Sweeny tied it with his second goal of the night at 19:53.
