GRANVILLE, Ohio -- Fredonia women's lacrosse fell to 0-2 following a 24-2 loss Sunday at No. 25 Denison at Piper Stadium.

Madeline Haney (Macedon, N.Y. / Victor) scored both Fredonia goals, at 16:51 and 11:39 of the first period, the first assisted by Casie White (Rochester, N.Y. / Irondequoit).

Kieley Noonan had five goals for the Big Red, who were coming off an overtime loss at home Saturday, 16-15, to Brockport.

Shots on goal favored Denison 39-6 with freshman goalkeeper Bridget Carey (Rochester, N.Y. / Greece Arcadia) being called on numerous times from close range. She finished with 15 saves.

Morgan Sinclair (Rochester, N.Y. / Greece Odyssey) was Fredonia's top field person with three ground balls and two caused turnovers.

The Blue Devils return to action next Sunday when they open the home portion of their season against SUNY Poly starting at 11 a.m.
