BOXSCORE CLEVELAND, OH -- The Fredonia State women's basketball team fell to John Carroll, 72-39, on Friday. JCU opened a 19-9 lead after one quarter and never looked back.
Morgan Davis led Fredonia State with nine points off the bench.
Anna Chiacchia had a team-high eight rebounds.
A total of 23 turnovers plagued the Devils, and they were out-rebounded 65-36.
The Devils shot 14 of 55 from the floor, compared to 28 of 87 for JCU.
They hosts were a strong early-season challenge for the Devils, as they are coming aff a 22-7 season that saw them advance to the NCAA Tournament.
The Devils take on Capital tomorrow at 1 p.m. to conclude the Classic.
