ONEONTA, N.Y. -- Christina Kornfeld scored early in the second half to lift Oneonta over Fredonia State, 1-0, in SUNYAC women's soccer.

Kornfeld connected from close range in the 50th minute after receiving a back pass from Abby Ousouljoglou. It was the lone blemish on the goalkeeping record of Fredonia State freshman Sabrina Suriani, who finished with 10 saves.

The Blue Devils (4-5-1 overall, 1-1-1 SUNYAC) had three shots on goal, all of them stopped by Oneonta's Claire Lepper. The Red Dragons improved to 4-2-3 overall and 2-0 in the conference.

Fredonia State resumes its weekend trip Saturday at New Paltz. Game time is 1 p.m.
