BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- A successful penalty kick by Jackson Retzer in the 86th minute gave Fredonia State a 1-1 tie at Brockport on Saturday in SUNYAC men's soccer.

Retzer's goal, his team-leading sixth of the season, negated a first-half goal by Brockport's Matthew Stefaniw, the only goal allowed by Fredonia State's Ty Bentham in 220 minutes over the weekend. Bentham made four saves. He shut out Geneseo on Friday.

The tie left the Blue Devils with a 1-3-2 record and six points in the SUNYAC, one point behind New Paltz for the sixth and final playoff shot. The Blue Devils are 5-6-4 overall.

Brockport, at 1-4-1 in conference (6-6-2 overall), is one point back of the Blue Devils. Only four points separate the final seven teams, all of which still have a shot at making the conference tournament.
