BOXSCORE CORTLAND, N.Y. -- Rachel Aiello scored 10 straight points for the Fredonia State women's volleyball team as it claimed a 3-2 win in the nightcap over Lebanon Valley. They dropped the day's first match, 3-0, to the University of Rochester in the season-opening Red Dragon Classic hosted by Cortland.

The Devils defeated Lebanon Valley by set scores of 25-23, 15-25, 18-25, 25-18, and 15-10. In addition to her scoring flurry, Aiello added 11 digs and four aces. Kailey Falk led the offense with 10 kills. SallyAnne Rudny added nine kills and 11 digs, while Emily Jones added seven kills and eight blocks.

Rochester downed the Devils by scores of  25-11, 25-22, and 25-14. Falk collected a team-high nine kills, and Rudny added 13 digs. Amanda Mosack had two aces and 21 assists.

The Devils finish the Classic on Saturday with matches against Keene State and Wells.
