MORRISVILLE, N.Y. -- Fredonia dropped to 0-5 in women's lacrosse with a 17-11 loss to Morrisville State despite seven goals by freshman 
Alli Coon (Livonia, N.Y./Livonia).
Another freshman, 
Casey Villagomez (West Seneca, N.Y./West Seneca West), had four goals. The last one came 2:09 into the second half and gave the Blue Devils a 10-9 lead. The Mustangs scored the next eight goals before Coon closed the scoring with 1:08 remaining.
The Blue Devils outdrew the Mustangs, 19-11, led by Villagomez with 10 draw controls, followed by freshman 
Alexis Skowron (Elma, N.Y./Iroquois) with four and Coon with three. Villagomez also led Fredonia with six ground balls, sophomore 
Morgan Sinclair (Rochester, N.Y./ Greece Odyssey) had three ground balls, and sophomore 
Joshua Brzoza (Farmingville, N.Y. / Sachem East) caused three turnovers. 
Nicole Burrows (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker), back in the Fredonia net, made eight saves.
The Blue Devils open the SUNYAC portion of their season Saturday when they visit the Potsdam Bears at 1 p.m.
