FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia swimming and diving team took on Geneseo and Grove City in a tri-meet on Saturday in the Steele Hall Natatorium. McKayla Polowy (Silver Creek, N.Y. / Silver Creek) was the top Blue Devil finisher, placing second in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 11:34.47. She was third in the 500 free in 5:34.32.

Erin Kalsman (Portville, N.Y. / Portville) was fourth in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:24.47. Alyson Baumann (N. Tonawanda, N.Y. / Niagara Wheatfield) was fourth in the 200 free in 2:04.87.

The Devils did not capture any individual victories swimming against the defending SUNYAC champs, but head coach Arthur Wang noted there several significant drops in times for the men and the women.

Next weekend, the Devils play host to the University of Rochester and Alfred U. in another tri-meet.
