POTSDAM, N.Y. -- The Fredonia women's soccer team's season came to an end with a 5-0 loss at Potsdam in the First Round of the SUNYAC post season on Saturday.

Potsdam scored just under 10 minutes into the game. Four minutes later, they doubled their lead when Brooke Folson scored her 17th goal of the season. Insurance goals in the 52nd, 60th, and 90th minutes sealed the deal for the Bears.

Potsdam out shot the Devils, 26-5, and had a 10-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Fredonia netminder Abby Monahan (Warsaw, N.Y. / Warsaw) collected eight saves and allowed four goals. Kendall Owczarczak (Lancaster, N.Y. / Lancaster) played the last 17 minutes in goal and was credited with two saves and allowed one goal.

Fredonia had two shots on goal in the first half, and one in the second. Potsdam collected 15 for the game.

Fredonia finishes its season at 7-11-1. Potsdam (14-3-1) advances to the conference semi-finals.
