BOXSCORE ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Fredonia women's volleyball team took down NYU, 3-1, on Friday in the New York Regional Invitational.
NYU won the first set, 25-22. The Devils won the next three, 26-24, 27-25, and 25-19.
Kailey Falk had 12 kills and
SallyAnne Rudny had 11. Falk and Rudny also had three aces apiece.
Christie Ackendorf had nine kills with only one error for a .421 kill percentage.
Amanda Mosack had 37 assists.
Rachel Aiello led the team with 17 digs.
Emma Falk added six blocks, and
Emily Jones had five.
Fredonia improves to 19-9. NYU fell to 15-13.
The Devils take on Lycoming and Penn College on Saturday. This will be the final regular-season games before the ladies return home for the First Round of the SUNYAC Tournament on Tuesday. Start time is 6 p.m. in Dods Hall vs. the Potsdam Bears.
