CORTLAND, N.Y. --
Meghan Bartlett (Johnstown, N.Y. / Johnstown) and
Sam Kowalewski (Cowlesville, N.Y. / Attica) combined to sweep both diving events at Cortland on Saturday. Kowalewski (272.25) won the 3-m board, edging Bartlett by 2.15 points.
Off the 1-m board, Bartlett finished with a 296.95 to Kowalewski's runner-up score of 257.20.
Single winners included
Chelsea Spiegel (Spencerport, N.Y. / Spencerport) in the 500-yard freestyle (5:50.07) and
Maddie Miller (Canandaigua, N.Y. / Canandaigua) in the 100-yard butterfly (1:09.19).
Samantha Angrignon (Marilla, N.Y. / Iroquois) was credited with second place in both events.
Alyson Baumann (North Tonawanda, N.Y. / Niagara Wheatfield) was the only other event winner, taking the 200 IM in 2:26.22.
Cortland won the team score, 168-116.
The Devils return to the pool on Feb. 15 for the SUNYAC Championships.
