ITHACA, N.Y. -- Fredonia sophomore Alyson Baumann (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) had a pair of third-place finishes Saturday during the Blue Devils' season-opening meet at Ithaca College.

Baumann finished third in both the 100-yard and 200-yard freestyle races in addition to sixth in the 100-yard individual medley. The only other Blue Devil with three top-six finishers was senior Taylor Chwalinski (West Seneca, N.Y.), who was fourth in the 100-yard free, fifth in the 50-yard free, and sixth in the 50-yard butterfly.

Sam Angrignon (East Aurora, N.Y.), a sophomore, wsa fifth in the 1,000-yard freestyle while freshman Corinne DeBeauvernet (Bloomingburg, N.Y.) and sophomore Sierra Parsons (Holland, N.Y.) had one sixth-place finish each -- DeBeauvernet in the 100-yard backstroke and Parsons in the 100-yard breaststroke.
