The Blue Devils improved to 7-7-2 while Post fell to 2-15 heading into their rematch 7 p.m. Saturday. Tickets go on sale at 5:30 p.m. for the annual Pink The Rink game, which will featured Fredonia in pink jerseys for the 10th season.
Pink items will be on sale in the Steele Hall lobby and the on-ice officials' game-worn tops will be auctioned off. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society of Western New York.
Fredonia's onslaught Friday included 78 shots on goal with no skater having fewer than two. The 14 goals is tied for fourth most in program history and marked the first time the Blue Devils have reached double digits in scoring since a 10-6 win at Potsdam on Feb. 12, 2010.
Two other times Fredonia has reached 14 goals, most recently during the 1995-96 season, a 14-2 win over Seneca College.
The three higher team totals are:
A 19-0 win over Buffalo State in 1993-94.
An 18-0 win over Scranton in 1993-94.
A 15-2 win over Villanova in 1990-91.
In addition, Rivera's hattrick was the first by a Blue Devil since
Taylor Bourne in a 7-3 home win over Southern New Hampshire on Oct. 31, 2015.
