FREDONIA, N.Y. --Brockport defeated Fredonia, 88-59, in men's college basketball action on Friday. The Devils fell to 6-9 overall and 3-5 in the conference.

The teams started evenly, with the score tied at 7-all in the early going. Brockport then went on a 12-2 run to take control. They would stretch their lead to 17 by the half, 50-33.

No Blue Devil finished in double-digit scoring, but seven players scored six or more, led by Brandon Hodge with nine points. Keith Ruiz, Justin Tapper and Richard De La Cruz had eight apiece. De La Cruz and Dante Williams led Fredonia with seven rebounds each.

Brockport (11-3 / 6-1) was led by Hamed Shamseldin with 16 and Clifton Lyerly 15.

The men travel to Geneseo Saturday for a 2 p.m. tip off.
