Volleyball starts Pool Play with a W

BOXSCORE POTSDAM, N.Y. -- The Fredonia women's volleyball team opened SUNYAC Pool Play with a 3-1 victory over Geneseo Friday evening.

They won the first two sets by scores of  25-14 and 25-18, before dropping the third, 18-25. They closed things out in the fourth set, 25-12.

Fredonia improves to 8-5 overall and 1-0 in the conference. Geneseo falls to 6-8/0-1.

The Blue Devils are back in action tomorrow against New Paltz at 12:30 p.m. and Plattsburgh State at 3:00 p.m.
