GLASSBORO, N.J. -- Two first-half goals would all York needed Friday to defeat Fredonia, 2-0, in women's soccer.
Sarah Guzman and Caitlin Rankin put York on top with goals in the 22nd minute and 29th minute, respectively. Brittany Cullison made four saves to earn the shutout.
The Blue Devils (0-1) were outshot 24-5, although they picked up the pace in the second half.

Abby Price (Naples, N.Y./Naples) had two shots and goal. Senior forward
Maria Gordon (Stephantown, N.Y./Berlin) and freshman midfielder
Olivia Coccitto (Spencerport, N.Y./Spencerport) had one each. Coccitto had Fredonia's only shot on goal in the first half.
Sophomore goaolkeeper
Kendall Owczarzak (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) made nine saves.
The Blue Devils are back in action 7 p.m. Saturday against weekend host Rowan College, a 5-0 winner Friday over Emmanuel.
