FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia ended its women's soccer season with a 2-0 SUNYAC home loss Saturday to Oneonta.
The loss left the Blue Devils with a 1-8 conference record. They finished 4-14-0 overall.
Christina Kornfeld and Emily Opalinski scored second-half goals for the visitors, who finished 6-2-1 in the SUNYAC and earned the No. 3 seed in the SUNYAC Tournament.
Oneonta scored in the 68th minute on a play which started with a corner kick. The ball was booted around the box before Paige McDermott slid a pass though a maze of players. Kornfeld was positioned in front of the net for her scoring shot, her first goal of the season.
Opalinski's goal early in the 87th minute was a corner kick while found its mark into the top of the net.
Fredonia was outshot 27-6. Sophomore goalkeeper
Kendall Owczarzak (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) was credited with 11 saves.
