Law led the Devils with 14 points and freshman
Sarah Sweazy (Rochester, N.Y. / Rush-Henrietta ) had 13 off the bench, to go along with nine rebounds and four steals. Senior
Sabrina Macaulay (Newark, N.Y. / Newark) had a team-high 12 rebounds and added seven points and four blocked shots. Freshman
Jenna Einink (Mayville, N.Y. / Chautauqua Lake) also had four blocks. Junior
Khee Nance (Dunkirk, N.Y. / Dunkirk) had nine points and seven rebounds.
The Devils' overall mark improves to 8-3.
Plattsburgh outrebounded the Devils 53-47, but Fredonia held the edge in three pointers (6-3), shooting percentage (37 percent to 28 percent) and steals (17-9).
The biggest lead of the game came when
Alexis Cheatham (Lockport, N.Y. / Lockport)) converted four straight free throws over two possessions in the closing minutes, giving the Devils a 67-51 advantage with 29 seconds left in the game.
The Devils led 30-18 at the half. Sweazy led all scorers with eight points at the intermission.
For the Cardinals (6-4, 0-3 SUNYAC), Devona Paul finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds and Linder added 12 points.
Fredonia takes on Potsdam tomorrow at 2 p.m.
