FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia's 200-yard medley relay team was about ten feet behind Nazareth when
Sam Rokos (Delanson, N.Y. / Duanesburg) jumped in the pool for the final lap of the race.
Rokos made headway against Nazareth's Brittany Heffler until the two were neck and neck with 25 yards to go. By the end, an observer wouldn't be able to tell who won the head-to-head battle until looking at the scoreboard, which showed the Blue Devils had pulled ahead by just .13 seconds.Â
The performance by Rokos,
Danielle Dembrow (Lockport, N.Y. / Lockport),
Taylor Chwalinski (West Seneca, N.Y. / West Seneca West), and
Caroline Bilotti (Spring Lake, N.J. / Manasquan) was the highlight of a 181-117
Julie Coomer won the 1-meter dive on Saturday loss to the Golden Flyers on Saturday.
"Nazareth brought out the best in our women today," head coach
