GENESEO, N.Y. – The Blue Devil women's volleyball team dropped their fourth SUNYAC match in a row Friday night to Oswego, 3-1 (25-15, 19-25, 19-25, 17-25).
Fredonia fell to 2-5 in the conference with the loss. With two remaining conference games, the team needs two wins tomorrow against Potsdam and Geneseo.
A tie-breaker scenario would then occur between Fredonia and Geneseo in which Fredonia would hold the head-to-head advantage. Several other tie-breaker scenarios could occur if Buffalo State wins at least two of their final three SUNYAC matches this weekend.
Kristen Stanek (Hamburg, N.Y. / Orchard Park) led the way offensively for the Blue Devils with 15 kills and a .321 hitting percentage, followed by Paulina Rein (Baldwinsville, N.Y. / C.W. Baker) with 11 kills for a .200 hitting percentage.
Setter Kelly Edinger (Rochester, N.Y. / Greece Athena) collected 43 assists, while libero Lauren Hokaj (Lancaster, N.Y. / St. Mary's of Lancaster) finished the match with 16 digs and three aces.
