FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Anissa Hartmann scored two goals Friday to lead Plattsburgh State past Fredonia, 5-2, in SUNYAC women's soccer at University Stadium.
Cassidy Clavat put the Cardinals (9-4-1, 4-2-0 SUNYAC) on top just 2:04 into the game before Hartmann added to the lead with goals in the 8th and 14th minutes. Devin McMahon added to the Plattsburgh lead inthe 26th minute before a goal by
Jordan Walts (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) got Fredonia on the board with :36 seconds left in the first half.
It was the first collegiate goal by Walts.
The Cardinals led at halftime 4-1.
Madeline Saccocio scored :53 seconds into the second half to re-establish Plattsburgh State's four-goal lead. A Plattsburgh State own goal in the 87th minute completed the scoring.
Nichole Gibson made three saves for the Cardinals while
Michelle Hale (Lockport, N.Y.) played the final 40 minutes in the Fredonia net and made five saves.
The Blue Devils (3-10-1, 1-4-1 SUNYAC) are back in action Saturday when they entertain the Potsdam Bears at 1 p.m.
