NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The Fredonia women's volleyball team dropped two matches Friday evening at the New Paltz Invitational.

The Blue Devils fell in a non-conference matchup against SUNYAC rival New Paltz 3-1, with set scores of 18-25, 25-21, 23-25 and 20-25.

The team got its offensive production?from Sara Madison (Rochester, N.Y.) who finished with 14 kills, Jessica DiChristopher (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) with 11 kills and Megan Collins (Burlingham, N.Y.) with nine kills. Kelly Edinger (Rochester, N.Y.) racked up 40 assists.
Against Farleigh Dickinson-Florham the Blue Devils lost 3-1 with set scores of 25-22, 22-25, 23-25 and 22-25. Madison again finished with 14 kills and added 15 digs. Libero Courtney Poirier (West Seneca, N.Y.) finished with 19 digs.
Fredonia (5-4) is back in action Saturday to finish the Invitational at 11 a.m. against Mount Saint Mary and at 1 p.m. against New York University.
