Season ends with loss at Potsdam

BOXSCORE POTSDAM, N.Y. -- Fredonia State ended its 2013-14 men's basketball season with an 82-72 SUNYAC road loss Saturday to the Potsdam Bears.

Senior guard-forward Tyrone Clark (Elmira, N.Y.) closed out his collegiate career with 21 points to lead the Blue Devils, who finished the season 6-19 overall and 3-15 in the SUNYAC.

Sophomore guard Robert Lyles (Peekskill, N.Y.) finished with 20 points, sophomore guard Eric Zwierlein (Nichols, N.Y.) had 16, and junior guard Alexander Grace (Bemus Point, N.Y.) finished with 10 points.

Rob Duquette had 21 points for the Bears, whose season also ended Saturday. They were 5-20 overall and 3-15 in the SUNYAC.

Clark finished the season with 528 points as a senior, the fourth highest total by a Blue Devil. Only Chris Hughey (582 in 1985-86, and 556 in 1984-85) and Ryan Smock (535 in 1991-92) scored more points in a season.

In addition, Clark's 21.1 scoring average this season is also No. 4 on the Blue Devil list, behind Hughey (23.3 and 22.2) and Giulio Colangelo (also 22.2).
