BOXSCORE FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's basketball team dropped its final home game of the season, 93-61, vs. Brockport.
The Devils were led by
Eric Zwierlein (Nichols/Tioga) with 16 points.
Robert Lyles followed with 13 points and seven rebounds. Seniors
Markus Williams (Niagara Falls/Niagara Wheatfield) and
Tyrone Clark (Elmira/Elmira Free) had 12 and 10 points, respectively. Williams added six boards.
Brockport (20-2 overall, 14-1 SUNYAC) was paced by John Ivy with 18 points. The Golden Eagles are currently ranked No. 19 in Division III and No. 1 in the East Region.
The game saw both teams make 31 trips to the foul line. The Devils connected on 22 chances, while Brockport made 23 opportunities. The Golden Eagles held a 10-3 advantage in three-point baskets, and a 46-31 rebounding edge.
Fredonia State (3-13 SUNYAC, 6-17 overall) concludes its season next weekend when they travel to Plattsburgh and Potsdam.
