BOXSCORE FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's basketball team fell to Geneseo, 77-56, on Friday.
The Devils were led by
Tyrone Clark (Elmira/Elmira Free) with 25 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals.
John Kovach (Shoreham/Shoreham-Wading River) added 13 points and
Robert Lyles (Peekskill) had 10 points, six assists and four steals.
Geneseo (11-3 SUNYAC, 17-4 overall) was led by James McKenna with 19 points and Connor Fedge with 17.
The Devils took an early 10-8 lead. The early going would see three ties after that, the last coming at 15-all. From there, Geneseo went on an 11-0 run to take a 26-15 lead. They would hold a 41-30 lead at the break.
Their biggest lead of the game came at the final buzzer. They out-rebounded the Devils 37-22. The Devils shot 45 percent from the field while Geneseo connected on 51 percent of its shots.
Fredonia State falls to 3-12 in the conference and 6-17 overall.
The Devils wrap up the hope portion of their schedule on Saturday vs. Brockport. Tip off is slated for 4 p.m.
