BOXSCORE FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's basketball team fell to Cortland State, 70-35, in Steele Hall on Friday.
Tyrone Clark (Elmira/Elmira Free) earned his second-straight double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
The Devil offense was stalled the first half, shooting six of 25 (24 percent) while putting up 14 points. On the defensive end, they put in a solid effort, holding Cortland to 26 first-half points.
Cortland was led by Kevin McMahon with 14 points and 10 rebounds and Lamard Herron added 16 points. Cortland held a 42-27 advantage on the boards, and converted 12 three-pointers to Fredonia State's one.
The Devils fall to 4-14 overall and 1-10 in SUNYAC play. Cortland ups its record to 11-7 and 6-5 in the conference.
Tomorrow night the men face-off against SUNYAC opponent Oswego State in Steele Hall. Tip-off is slated for 4 p.m.
