BOXSCORE FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's basketball team fell 77-42 to Plattsburgh in Steele Hall on Saturday.
Fredonia State was led by
Tyrone Clark (Elmira/Elmira Free) with 13 points, five rebounds, three blocks and three steals.
John Kovach (Shoreham/Shoreham-Wading River) led the team with eight rebounds.
Plattsburgh was led by Alan Siergiej with 14 points and John Perez with 13.
The Devils were slowed by shooting 23 percent (13 of 56) from the field for the game. The Cardinals converted 48 percent (28 of 59) of their opportunities and had 10 three-pointers compared to Fredonia State's two.
Plattsburgh held a slight 41-36 advantage in rebounds. Both teams had seven steals and 13 turnovers. The Devils had four blocks compared to one for the Cardinals.
Plattsburgh improves to 7-2 in the SUNYAC and 13-3 overall.
The Devils (1-8, 4-12) travel to Buffalo State on Tuesday.
