BOXSCORE CORTLAND, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's basketball team fell 76-54 to the Cortland Red Dragons on Saturday.
The Devils were led by
Robert Lyles (Peekskill) with 20 points and four assists.
Tyrone Clark (Elmira/Elmira Free Academy) added 15 points.
Cortland took a 45-26 lead into the half. The game featured six ties and six lead changes in the first nine minutes of play. Cortland took a 21-19 lead at the 11-minute mark following a three-pointer by Kevin McMahon. It would be the start of a 27-8 run for the Red Dragons.
Cortland (9-3 overall, 4-1 SUNYAC) was led by Lammard Herron with 16 points, one of four players to score in double digits.
The Devils (3-8, 0-4) travel to Brockport on Tuesday.
