BOXSCORE OSWEGO, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's basketball team fell 74-60 at Oswego on Friday evening. The Devils dropped to 3-7 overall and 0-3 in the SUNYAC.
The Devils were led by senior
Tyrone Clark (Elmira/Elmira Free) with 23 points and five steals. Sophomore
Eric Zwierlein (Nichols/Tioga) added 11 points.
Markus Williams (Niagara Falls/Niagara Wheatfield) had nine points and a team-high seven rebounds.
The Devils trailed by three points after a closely contested first half. Neither team led by more than seven points in the period. The Lakers took a 31-28 lead into the locker room.
Early in the second half, the Devils tied the game 39-all following a three pointer by Clark with just under 16 minutes to play. The Lakers countered by converting layups on their next three possessions to take a 45-39 lead they would maintain the rest of the way.
Oswego (9-2, 3-1) was led by Daniel Ross with 21 points and Brian Sortino with 20.
The Devils travel to Cortland State on Saturday.
