Devils split at Naz

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's volleyball team split a pair of matches at the Nazareth Invitational on Friday. They defeated Scranton, 3-0, and fell to Mount Union, 3-0.

The Devils now stand at 3-3 on the season.

Against Scranton, the Devils won sets by scores of 25-16, 25-12 and 25-23. Sara Madison (Rochester/Penfield) had 12 kills and four service aces. Paulina Rein (Baldwinsville) added seven kills. Kelly Edinger (Rochester/Greece Athena) had 25 assists and Brittney Kelly (North Tonawanda/Niagara Wheatfield) had 12 digs and four aces.

Against Mount Union, the Devils fell 25-12, 25-19 and 25-11. Hannah Manning (Apalachin/Owego) and Kaitlin Orcutt (West Seneca/West Seneca West) had five kills apiece. Lauren O'Hara (Canandaigua) had 10 digs an Edinger had 16 assists.

The Blue Devils take on Hartwick College Saturday morning. Their final opponent will be decided by the outcome of the other morning matches.
