BOXSCORE 1 | BOXSCORE 2 BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- Fredonia State fell to Buffalo State, 3-1, in the first of two SUNYAC Pool Play matches Saturday. They dropped the second match, 3-1, to New Paltz

In the morning match, Fredonia State fell 18-25, 25-21, 24-26, and 19-25. Three sophomores led the offense. Jessica DiChristopher (Cheektowaga) had 11 kills, Paulina Rein (Baldwinsville) had 10 kills and two service aces, and Kelly Edinger (Rochester) recorded 43 assists. A fourth sophomore, Lauren Hokaj (Lancaster), had three service aces.

Defensively, Hokaj collected 16 digs, sophomore Brittney Kelly (North Tonawanda) added 15 digs, and Rein had 11 digs.

Against New Paltz, the Devils fell 22-25, 25-23, 18-25 and 23-25. Orcutt had 14 kills and Edinger had 35 assists. Hokaj had 19 digs, Edinger 13 and senior Lauren O'Hara (Canadaigua) had 10. DiChristopher and Edinger had three blocks apiece.

The Blue Devils (10-8) play host to the Blue Devil Invitational on oct. 4-5 in Dods Hall.
