BRADFORD, Pa. – Miller Barmasse rallied after losing the first set to claim a win at No. 2 singles of Fredonia State's 9-0 women's tennis win over Pitt-Bradford.
Barmasse lost the first set, 4-6, then roared back to win the second set, 6-0, against Stephanie Krall. The Fredonia State senior then earned the team point with a 10-6 third-set tiebreaker.
In addition to her singles win, Barmasse teamed with Molly Zanetti for a 8-2 No. 2 doubles match.
Other singles winners for the Blue Devils (3-3) were Zanetti, Sara DiFulvio, Samantha Pedneault, Stephanie Thompson, and Emily Fulkerson.
Fredonia State's other winning doubles teams were the combinations of DiFulvio with Pednault, and Thompson with Fulkerson.
The Blue Devils are back in action Monday at Wells College in Aurora, N.Y..
