FREDONIA, N.Y. – Fredonia State evened its record to 2-2 with an 8-1 home women 's tennis win over Daemen.
The first doubles tandem of Alison Phillips and Sara DiFulvio rallied for a 4-0 deficit to score an 8-6 win. Other doubles winners for Fredonia State were the teams of Miller Barmasse and Molly Zanetti, and Stephanie Thompson and Emily Fulkerson.
Singles action included the first collegiate victory for Blue Devil freshman Samantha Pedneault, and the final varsity win for senior Jessica Johnston, who will studying in Turkey for the rest of the semester.
Other singles winners were DiFulvio, Barmasse, and Zanetti.
The Blue Devils are back in action next Tuesday at Geneseo in a SUNYAC match.
