BOXSCORE ONEONTA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State remained unbeaten with an 11-10 SUNYAC road win over the Oneonta Red Dragons in women's lacrosse.

The Blue Devils, ranked No. 20 in the latest IWLCA's NCAA Division III poll, emerged from the see-saw contest at 12-0 overall and 4-0 in the conference.

Katie Kleine scored the game-tying and eventual game-winning goals while Casey Chiesa made 10 saves. Kleine finished with four goals while Marissa Cussins scored four goals, and Rachael Reinis and Katie Glagolev had one goal each.

The Red Dragons (7-6 overall, 2-3 SUNYAC) were led Nikki Fioretti and Jillian Dondeo with three goals each.

Neither team led by more than one goal until Kleine scored two goals in a span of five minutes, the second one with 4:36 remaining, to put the Blue Devils up 11-9.

The Red Dragons won the ensuing draw, hit a post, before Fioretti set up Caroline Tully for a woman-up goal with 1:54 left. After another Oneonta draw control, Oneonta's Chelsea Collins hit a post again with one minute left. A yellow card against the Red Dragons gave the ball back to the Blue Devils for the game's final possession.

The Blue Devils trailed 5-4 at halftime. It marked the fourth time this season they were down at intermission. They also overcame one-goal deficits vs. Elmira and Geneseo, and rallied from two goals down vs. St. John Fisher.

Next up for Fredonia State is a visit Tuesday from Buffalo State. Scheduled game time is 4 p.m. at University Stadium.
