The Fredonia State women's lacrosse team wore red and gold shoelaces Friday in tribute of Seton Hill women's lacrosse head coach Kristina Quigley who was killed in a bus accident last weekend.

BOXSCORE REDLANDS, Calif. -- Fredonia State improved to 4-0 with a 14-6 victory Friday over Redlands (Calif.).

Marissa Cussins led the Blue Devil offense with five goals and two assists. Katie Kleine added three goals while goalkeeper Casey Chiesa made eight saves.

Shelby DePew and Rachael Reinis had two goals each while Juliana Kotas and Kaila Fox each had one goal. Katie Glagolev had two assists, and Reinis one.

The Blue Devils, up 7-1 at halftime and 10-1 early in the second half, dominated all the statistical categories: 25-20 in shots, 12-10 in draw controls, 23-17 in ground balls, and 13-5 in caused turnovers. Chiesa had seven ground balls, Cussins and Kleine had four each, while Cussins added five draws and four caused turnovers.

Jacky Craycraft had five goals for Redlands, who fell to 7-4. The Bulldogs received votes in last week's NCAA Division III poll.

The Blue Devils wore red and gold shoelaces during the game as part of the national memorial to Siena Hill women's lacrosse coach Kristina Quigley, killed along with her unborn child in a bus accident last weekend.

The Blue Devils are back in action Saturday night at Chapman. Game time is 10 p.m. Eastern time.
