BOXSCORE BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- Fredonia State closed out its 2012-13 season with a 63-57 come-from-behind win Saturday to Brockport in SUNYAC women's basketball.
The Blue Devils, 12-12 overall and 7-11 in the conference, scored the final 14 points of the game while holding the Golden Eagles scoreless over the 3:52.
Jaimie Warren (Lake View/Frontier) had five of her game-high 22 points during the run, including a three-point basket with 1:08 left to put Fredonia State on top, 59-57.
Marissa Cussins (Corning/Painted Post West) followed with a reverse lay up and
Becky Hebert (Hilton/Hilton) added two free throws. Both players finished with 11 points.
Nikole Lindquist (Cherry Creek/Pine Valley) joined her teammates in double figures with 10 points.
Warren continued her all-around solid play with a team-high 10 rebounds and four assists. It was her fourth double-double of the season.
Cussins also was credited with four assists, while Lindquist had eight rebounds.
Aiming for her second straight SUNYAC scoring title, Hebert closed out the season with a scoring average of just under 18 points per game (17.958). She entered the night leading the conference in scoring by almost five points per game.
Saturday was the final collegiate game for three Blue Devil seniors --
Jenna Austin (Cherry Creek/Pine Valley),
Grace Moore (Fredonia/Fredonia), and
Anna Riley (Massena/Massena). All three were honored Friday prior to the final women's home game.
