RESULTS
FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's swimming and diving team defeated Brockport, 134-102, on the team's final home meet of the season.
Jennifer Smith,
Natalia Wilkins,
Elizabeth Schake, and
Sam Rokos each claimed individual wins while the Devil divers claimed the top four spots off both the 1- and 3-meter boards.
The Devils also claimed a team victory in the 200-yard medley relay.
In the 200 freestyle, Smith turned in an event-best time of 2:03.79. She was followed by
Stephanie Andrasek with a time of 2:04.03.
The Devils also finished 1-2 in the 400 IM, with WIlkins's 4:50.68 and
Courtney Schmidt's 4:59.75 being the top two times.
Schake took the 100 butterfly in a time of 1:00.95. Rokos took the 500 freestyle with a mark of 5:26.15.
Sarah Ficarro claimed the 1-meter board with a score of 279.00 and the 3-meter board with a 292.50.
Ashley Keller, second in the 1-meter and third in the 3-meter, and
Katelyn Haley, third in the 1-meter and second off the 3-meter, aided in the Blue Devil win.
Keller on the 1-meter and Haley on 3-meter qualfied for zones.
Breena Cogliandro finished fourth off both boards, yet posted a lifetime best of 251.35 off the 3-meter board.
This was the final home meet for seniors Andrasek, Schake, Schmidt, Ficarro,
Lizzie Lodinsky, and
Emily Ginty.
The Devils travel to Cortland next Saturday.
