BOXSCORE FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Senior Becky Hebert (Hilton) scored 35 points -- one shy of her own school record -- as the Fredonia State women's basketball team rolled past Alfred State, 81-58, on Saturday. They improved to 6-2 on the year.

Last season, Hebert scored 36 points vs. D'Youville to set the mark. This was her second 30-plus point effort of the season and third of her career. She was 13 of 18 from the field (72 percent) and eight of 10 from the line.

Fellow senior Jaimie Warren (Lake View/Frontier) also had a big night. She recorded her third double-double of the season, scoring 18 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Sophomore Sabrina Macaulay (Newark) also registered a double-double, going for 10 points and 11 rebounds. She also had three blocks.

Not to be outdone, freshman Alexis Cheatham (Lockport) turned in a career-best 11 assists. That ranks fifth all time on the all-time Blue Devil list.

Alfred State (3-4) was led by Marcedes Caver with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Hebert piled up 20 points in the first half as the Devils built a 42-30 lead.

The Devils held a 55-54 edge in rebounds, and shot 21 of 31 (68 percent) from the line, compared to Alfred State's 11 for 25 (44 percent).

The Devils are off until Jan. 10 when they travel to Oswego.
