WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. -- Fredonia State ran its winning streak to six straight games with a 7-2 women's tennis win over the Medaille Mavericks at the Miller Tennis Center.
Seniors
Miller Barmasse (Lockport) and
Molly Zanetti (Saratoga Springs), and juniors
Stephanie Thompson (Verona) and
Emily Fulkerson (Seneca Falls), won their singles and doubles matches.
In addition, freshman
Phoebe Langdon (Syracuse) rallied for a singles win, and junior
Sara DiFulvio (Rochester) played well despite dropping both her matches at the No. 1 level.
The win lifted the Blue Devils to 8-3 heading into their regular-season finale Saturday at Thiel in Greenville, Pa. The loss dropped the Mavericks to 3-9.
