BOXSCORE OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Fredonia State women's soccer team lost, 2-1, to SUNYAC opponent Oswego Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Blue Devils fall to 2-9-2 overall and 0-4-1 in SUNAC play.
Alexis Moreland (Newfane) scored 11 minutes into the first period for her third goal of the season. Moreland received a pass into the box from
Jordyn Ruston (Walworth).
The Lakers (8-5/3-3) knotted the score at, 1-1, when Bailey Waterbury took an attempted defensive clear and shot the ball inside the left post. Waterbury later assisted Tia Segretto for her sixth goal of the year to make the score, 2-1.
Fredonia was outshot 13-9 on the day and each team managed seven corner kicks.
Hannah McGlinchey (Babylon) recorded three saves on the day.
The Blue Devils continue SUNYAC play when they host Potsdam Friday at 3 p.m. at University Stadium.
