BOXSCORE FREDONIA, N.Y. -- For the fourth time in five SUNYAC games, the Fredonia State men's soccer team found itself in overtime. The Devils came away with a 1-all tie.

Oswego (0-4-2 SUNYAC, 0-9-3 overall) took a 1-0 lead in the 73rd minute, before the Devils (1-3-1, 4-8-1) tied the game seven minutes later.

With 17:20 left in the second half, Oswego's Mike Naab beat a Blue Devil defender one-on-one and got off a shot just inside the near post.

Fredonia State tied the game when sophomore Mike Biggane (Amherst/Sweet Home) fired a line shot past Oswego goaltender Todd Lawson. Senior Jakob Persons (Albany/Columbia) assisted.

Oswego held a 17-13 edge in shots and both teams had four corner kicks. A.J. Grecco (Buffalo/St. Joe's) made three saves in goal for the Devils, and Lawson made four for the Lakers.

After the double-overtime, Oswego won the shootout, 5-4. The shootout is used only as a tiebreaker for seeding purposes.

The men travel to Potsdam and Plattsburgh next weekend.

At halftime of the game, the Homecoming King and Queen were recognized. Shane' Terry was the Homecoming Queen, and Domonick Pitts the King. Both are Exercise Science majors and also serve as Resident Assistants.
