Winning streak ends at SUNYAC Tournament

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. --After winning six straight regular-season matches, Fredonia State fell to Oneonta, 5-0, on the first day of the SUNYAC women's tennis tournament at the Binghamton Tennis Center.

The Blue Devils' closest match came during No. 2 doubles when the senior duo of Miller Burmasse (Lockport) and Molly Zanetti (Saratoga Springs) fell 9-7 to Oneonta's Emily Maggiore and Colette Lankowicz.

The Blue Devils, the No. 3 seed in the West Division, now stand at 8-4 overall. Oneonta was the No. 2 seed in the East Division and improve to 8-3.

The Devils will advance to the consolation bracket on Saturday to take on Plattsburgh at 8 a.m.
