FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Through what's been a difficult men's basketball season so far, Fredonia State junior guard-forward
Tyrone Clark (Elmira/Elmira Free) has been a bright spot.
A transfer from Tompkins-Cortland Community College, Clark leads his team in six key offensive categories. He's first in scoring at 12.4 points per game. He's also the top rebounder with 84 total, and first among active players with 4.9 rebounds per game.
Clark is first in total assists with 49, first in blocked shots with 18, and first in steals with 35.
Senior guard-forward
Amir Billups (Buffalo/Starpoint) leads the Blue Devils in three-point baskets with 36 and three-point shooting accuracy (48.6 percent). Senior guard
Dalton Kashmer (South Dayton/Pine Valley) has made the most frequent trips to the foul line, where he's 52 of 70 (74.3 percent).
The Blue Devils take a 2-9 SUNYAC record their Friday home game vs. SUNYAC-leading Cortland. Game time is scheduled for 8 p.m.
Fredonia State is also home 4 p.m. Saturday vs. Oswego.
Friday is Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day. Members of all Fredonia State's teams – including the five in action Friday night – have put together a guest list from among the professors and other campus staff who accepted invitations to a reception. Light refreshments will be served from 4 p.m.. to 7 p.m. in the Bob Steele Multi-Purpose Room.
On Saturday, the annual men's basketball alumni game will be played in the Dods Hall gym beginning at noon.
