BOXSCORE FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's basketball team dropped a 72-47 contest to Plattsburgh on Saturday.
The Devils (2-9 SUNYAC, 6-11 overall) were led by senior
Dalton Kashmer (South Dayton/Pine Valley) with nine points and six rebounds.
Devin Case (Gasport/Roy-Hart) and
Robert Lyles (Peekskill) each had eight points.
As a team, the Devils shot 16 of 18 from the foul line (89 percent).
Plattsburgh (7-3, 12-6) was paced by John Perez with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Kalik Parker added 13 points and Chris Manning had 12.
Early in the first half, both teams traded runs. Plattsburgh opened the game with a 13-2 lead. The Devils answered with a 10-4 run, before Plattsburgh went on a 9-0 run to take a 26-12 lead. The Cardinals took a 33-23 lead into the half.
Plattsburgh outscored the Devils in the second half 39-24.
Fredonia State is back home next weekend, taking on Cortland and Oswego in women's/men's doubleheader in Steele Hall.
