FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State basketball teams entertain Potsdam on Friday and Plattsburgh on Saturday in a pair of SUNYAC basketball doubleheaders at the Steele Hall Fieldhouse.
Game times are 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday, and 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, with the women's game the first of the doubleheader each day.
This is the start of the second round of the SUNYAC schedule. Both Fredonia State teams have nine conference games left.
The Blue Devil women enter the weekend in eighth place, one game behind three teams tied for fifth. Buffalo State, Oneonta, and Cortland are 4-5 each. The Blue Devils are 3-6, followed by Brockport at 3-7
The top six teams make the playoffs.
Junior guard
Becky Hebert (Hilton) continues to lead the SUNYAC at 20.2 points per game. She entered the week averaging 20.7 points per game, ranked No. 10 in NCAA Divsion III. Junior forward
Jaimie Warren (Lake View) leads Fredonia State in rebounding (7.9) and is second in scoring (11.8).
The Fredonia State men face more of an uphill battle. At 1-8 in SUNYAC, the men are three full games out of the sixth and final playoff spot.

Tyrone Clark (Elmira) leads current Blue Devils in five statistical categories -- points, rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals. At 12.3 points per game, he's one of three current players averaging in double figures. Senior guard

Dalton Kashmer (South Dayton) are the others, at 11.7 and 10.0, respectively.
When the teams last met in early December, the Blue Devil women lost at Plattsburgh, 79-50, then won at Potsdam, 68-40. The Blue Devil men were swept in the North Country, 72-58 at Plattsburgh, and 78-54 at Potsdam.
