Devils drop road game at Buff State

BOXSCORE BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's basketball team dropped a SUNYAC game, 81-55, at Buffalo State on Saturday evening.

Jaimie Warren (Lakeview/Frontier) led the Devils with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Becky Hebert (Hilton) added 11 points and Jenna Austin (Cherry Creek/Pine valley) had 6 points, 3 assists and 5 rebounds. Nikole Lindquist (Cherry Creek/Pine Valley) had 6 points and 6 rebounds.

The Devils fell to 8-6 overall and 3-5 in SUNYAC play. Buffalo State (8-7, 4-4 SUNYAC) was led by Kala Crawford with 18 points and Bianca Smiiley with 17.

Fredonia State shot a solid 14 of 19 from the free throw line, compared to 12 of 14 by Buffalo State. The Bengals led the battle on the boards, outrebounding the Devils 38-30.

The Devils travel to Geneseo on Tuesday for a women's/men's doubleheader. Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m.
