FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's swimming and diving team defeated Nazareth, 163-118, on Saturday. Junior
John Estanislau (E. Longmeadow, Mass.) and freshman
Liam Jones (Buffalo/Kenmore East) were triple winners for the Devils.
Estanislau claimed the 1,000-yard freestyle in a time of 10:37.46, and the 100 freestyle in a time of 48.14. He was a member of the 200 freestyle relay team that touched in 1:28.26.
Jones won the 200 freestyle (1:51.97) and 200 butterfly (2:07.45), as well as teaming up on the 200 medley relay (1:41.64).
Junior Adrian Van Hall (Owego) was the other individual winner in swimming, claiming the 500 freestyle in a time of 5:12.60.
Senior diver
Ryan Fuller (Endicott/Union Endicott) took both diving events. He scored a 277.50 off the three-meter board and tallied 264.45 off the one-meter board.
Head coach
Arthur Wang was glad to see continued progression with his teams, noting that was the first time in about 10 years the Devils swept Nazareth. The women claimed a 193.5-104.5 victory.
The Devils play host to Canisius College on January 26th.
