ROCHESTER, N.Y -- Fredonia State women's volleyball lost both its matches Saturday at the Nazareth Invitational.

The Blue Devils (1-7) fell 3-0 to Mount Union and 3-1 to Clarkson.

Against Mount Union, freshman middle blocker Jessica DiChristopher (Buffalo) was Fredonia State's top hitter with seven kills and a .545 percentage. Freshman setter Kelly Edinger (Rochester) collected 19 assists, freshman defensive specialist Lauren Hokaj (Lancaster) 10 digs, and junior outside hitter Hannah Manning (Apalachin) five blocks.

In the Clarkson match, freshman opposite Paulina Rein filled three stat columns with 10 kills, 10 digs, and three service aces. Senior outside hitter Lindsey Olson also had 10 kills and Manning three service aces to go along with three more blocks. Edinger finished with 28 assists.

The Blue Devils play host to Nazareth in its home opener in Dods Hall on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
